The Scatola Travertine Flush Ceiling Light
Model: KT1013-1
Scatola is the Italian word for box. A square block of black travertine, 12cm on each side, sits beneath a flat wood top, so the fitting reads as a small, solid stone box on the ceiling.
Unlit, the dark surface shows its open pores and softened edges. Switched on, the light is held inside the box and falls straight down, and the hollow interior glows a warm gold against the black exterior. The crisp square form suits modern hallways and corridors, a run above a kitchen worktop, or a pair over a console or sideboard.
The wood top comes in Walnut or Natural Oak, and it takes a single E27 bulb. Travertine is a natural stone, so the pores, tone and texture of every piece are unique.
