The Vela Alabaster Linear Pendant Light

Vela is Italian for sail. A thin, curved panel of alabaster is held between two dark end caps, and the gentle arc gives the fitting a sense of movement even when it is still.
Switched on, the integrated LED fills the panel with a warm white glow and draws the veining out across the curve. Switched off, it reads as a quiet sweep of stone, closer to sculpture than to a light fitting.
Three lengths are available, 100, 120 and 150cm, with output from 10W to 20W. Hang it over a dining table or kitchen island, or use it to give a long hallway a soft, continuous light. The metalwork comes in brass, bronze or black.
Alabaster is a natural stone. Veining, tone and translucency vary, so each panel is unique.
