The Plissé Travertine Pendant Light
Model: KT1016-1
Plissé is the word Italian tailoring borrows from French for pleated fabric. Here the pleats are cut into stone: a travertine cylinder with deep vertical flutes and a narrower collar at the top.
Unlit, the fluting throws fine lines of shadow down the cream stone and draws out its pores. Switched on, the light falls through the open base, and the flutes catch a gentle wash of light along their edges. At 12cm across and 16cm tall it works over a bedside table, above a kitchen island in a row, or grouped at varied heights over a dining table.
It comes in one size. Travertine is a natural stone, so the pores, banding and tone of every piece are unique.
