The Tulipe Alabaster Pendant Light

Gentle flutes run down the alabaster of Tulipe, and the shade flares at the rim like a tulip in bloom. The shape is soft rather than literal, closer to a carved cup than a flower. Seen from the side, the flutes give the stone a light, rhythmic texture.
The fluting creates fine changes in thickness, so when lit the stone glows in faint vertical bands, with the veining visible between them. At Ø14 x H18cm it suits a bedside, a hallway or a reading nook, and a pair or row of three works well above a kitchen island or a narrow dining table.
The metalwork comes in brass or bronze. Each shade is natural alabaster, so the veining, tone and translucency are unique to every piece.
